Dean and Karen have established an ambiance with your
personality that is translated into all of your help that makes each visitor feel important, wanted, and at ease.
The food was wonderful, the special touches in the accommodations worthy of five star rank, the fishing the best in the West, and the reason for Dude Ranches - horses- truly outstanding! When we learned of the care with which your horses are selected, tested over a period of several years, trained, and finally certified as worthy of use by your visitors, we were astounded. The instruction for those who had never ridden was especially notable.

I've just returned home from the best vacation I've had in years. I wasn't sure what to expect finding North Fork on the internet but I must say it was more than I could have imagined. Dean, Karen, and Kids have built the most beautiful home for their guests. What a beautiful location and what a wonderful staff. I'll be back next year and many years to come.

We have just returned from the holiday of a lifetime at the North Fork Ranch. Our expectations were greatly exceeded on ALL fronts: accommodation, activities, locations, hospitality etc etc etc. We booked a year in advance and right from the outset Karen was the perfect host advising on everything from accommodation for the night prior to a suitable celebrant for our wedding which we hoped to have at the ranch. We did have our special day on the ranch (right on the river) and Dean and Karen kindly agreed to be our witnesses, talk about above and beyond . . . The May family, and the people they employ, are truly special and they provided us with a most memorable holiday and wedding - guess where we get to go for our anniversaries!!! We really cannot recommend the North Fork Ranch highly enough and would be more than happy to speak with anybody contemplating taking their holiday at this amazing place (or should we keep it quiet?). All our love to Dean, Karen, their family and the excellent staff at NFR, see you again soon.

Just a note to tell you one more time what a FABULOUS time our family had at North Fork Ranch. We loved every minute of it! Everyone, all 15 of us, said it was the most fun we've ever had together...ever!! The well organized activities for all ages, horseback riding, fantastic fly-fishing, square dancing, not to mention the meals, accommodations and the setting just can't be beat! We have memories we will cherish forever! Thank you!

My wife and I just concluded a week of fantastic riding, eating, relaxing, dancing, trap shooting, and meeting fabulous friends. For anyone thinking about this type of vacation, forget it, just go ahead and do it. Dean and Karen and staff will make you feel a part of their family. P.S. forget about diets for one week. This is my second year in a row visiting and we will be returning in soon.

You can’t call room service. No phone. You can't complain about the TV not working. No TV. It’ll drive you nuts just trying to find that one spot, under an Aspen in the rain, where cellular communication is possible and if your cell phone rings on the trail, expect to get a load of ‘grief’ from your wrangler and fellow dudes. BUT, if you want an unpressured week away from it all in the Colorado Rockies, in ultra-comfort (excepting the western saddle), with fantastic food, great company, incredible staff, a place where your family is welcomed as members of their family...this IS it. For an intimate (under 40 guests) dude ranch experience, nobody does it better... and it's been that way every time (7 to date) we’ve visited.

Dean and Karen are the most gracious and energetic hosts with activities planned for all age levels.
