We are still fishing at North Fork Ranch!
Colorado winter hasn't set in yet here at North Fork Ranch & Orvis Fishing Lodge! Unlike the photo above there is no snow to contend with yet. With an extended Indian summer fly fishing in Colorado is great and the fish are still eating! Enjoy fire side lunches to warm your chilled fingers after a morning of action packed fishing. Happy Thanksgiving from North Fork Ranch & Fishing Lodge! Taking a break from the Fly Fishing we decided to share our popular Pumpkin Bread Recipe. We hope your Thanksgiving weekend is filled with happiness and great food! Enjoy! North Fork Ranch's Famous Pumpkin Bread 2 3/4 cups sugar 1 cup oil 2 eggs 2 cups pumpkin 3 1/2 cups flour 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. ground cloves 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 Tbsp. cinnamon Cream sugar, oil, eggs. Add pumpkin and stir. Sift rest of ingredients together and stir. Grease and flour loaf pans. Bake one hour at 350 degrees F. (Don't let the batter sit long before baking.) Makes 3 loaves.
